This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your information when you use the Thomas Body Shop website.

What this policy covers
This policy covers this website only. It does not cover records from repairs, towing or insurance claims that we handle at the shop. Those are separate from this website.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number and message that you type in. When you press Submit, that information is sent by email to the shop staff and to Votivigy, the company that maintains our website. The email is delivered through an email delivery provider called Mailgun. The website does not intentionally keep a separate copy of your message in its own database. Copies stay in the email inboxes that receive it, and our email delivery and hosting providers may keep technical logs for a limited time.
Our website is hosted on Amazon Web Services. Like most hosting services, it may process technical data such as your IP address in its server logs.
How we use what you send us
We use the information from the contact form only to respond to you and to handle your request. We never sell it, and we do not use it for marketing.
Google features
This website can use three Google features:
- Google Analytics helps us understand how many people visit the site and which parts they use.
- The Google map shows where the shop is located.
- Google reviews shows recent reviews of the shop from Google.
All three are off until you click Accept on our cookie banner or Allow Google features on the map or reviews area. Either one turns on all three. Until then, your browser does not contact Google for these features. If you accept, Google receives data such as your IP address, your device and browser details, and the pages you visit, and Google may set cookies in your browser. Google's own privacy policy then applies to what Google does with that data: policies.google.com/privacy.
If you decline, those features stay off. The website still works, and the map and reviews areas include plain links you can use to open our location and reviews on Google in a new tab.
Remembering your choice
To remember whether you accepted or declined, the site saves a small note in your browser's own storage. It records your choice and the date. It stays on your device and is not shared with anyone. We ask again after about 12 months. If your browser does not allow storage, the site still works, Google features stay off, and the banner will show again on your next visit.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time by clicking at the bottom of any page. If you had accepted and now decline, we remove the Google Analytics cookies we can reach from your browser and reload the page so the Google features are turned off.
How long we keep information
We keep messages only as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and for normal business records. Our email delivery and hosting providers keep their own technical logs for a limited time under their own policies.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
To ask to see, correct or delete information you sent us, email denver@thomasbodyshop.com.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information sent through this website, but no website or email system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Other websites
Our Facebook page is a separate site with its own privacy policy. Please read it if you visit. Google's sites also have their own policy, linked above.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
